Where do you ship to? We currently ship across the UK and offer international delivery to select countries. Shipping options will appear at checkout based on your location.

How long does delivery take? UK orders typically arrive within 2–5 working days. International delivery times vary by region and may take 7–14 working days.

How much does shipping cost? Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size. We offer free UK delivery on orders over £50.

Do you offer express delivery? Yes, express delivery is available within the UK. Select the express option at checkout for faster shipping (1–2 working days).

Can I track my order? Absolutely. Once your order is dispatched, you’ll receive a tracking link via email to monitor its progress.

What if my order hasn’t arrived? If your order is delayed or missing, please contact our support team at through out contact us form and we’ll resolve it promptly.

Do you ship to PO Boxes or parcel lockers? Yes, we can ship to PO Boxes and parcel lockers within the UK. For international orders, this may vary by country.

Can I change my delivery address after placing an order? If your order hasn’t shipped yet, we’ll do our best to update the address. Contact us as soon as possible with your order number.

What happens if my package is damaged during delivery? If your order arrives damaged, please send us a photo and your order details—we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.

Do you offer local pickup? At the moment, we don’t offer local pickup—but we’re working on expanding delivery options in the future.

For best results, use it before every wash day, typically 1–2 times per week. Apply it generously to your mid-lengths and ends and leave it on for at least 30 minutes, or overnight under a satin bonnet for a deeper treatment.

Can I use this on protective styles or braids?
Yes! Before installing a protective style, apply it to your lengths on pre-wash day to soften and strengthen them. While in braids, warm a tiny amount between your fingers and smooth it over the lengths to keep them moisturised and reduce frizz.

Will this help my hair grow?
Retention Butter is all about keeping the length you already have. Hair is always growing, but breakage at the ends can make it feel like it isn't. By cushioning fragile lengths and reducing snapping, it helps you retain length over time. For a complete routine, pair it with our Growth Concentrate for the scalp.

Is this suitable for low-porosity hair?
Yes. Its whipped texture melts easily, and lighter oils like jojoba and argan help it absorb without sitting heavily on the hair. For low-porosity hair, apply it to slightly damp hair and cover with a warm towel or shower cap to help it penetrate.

Can I use this on my scalp?
It's designed for mid-lengths and ends, where hair is oldest and most fragile. For scalp care, we recommend our Growth Concentrate, which is lightweight and formulated specifically for the scalp.

Is this safe for sensitive skin?
The butter contains no essential oils, no synthetic fragrance and no harsh additives. Its gentle vanilla scent comes from real vanilla bean extract. As with any new product, we recommend a patch test before first use.

How long before I see results?
You'll notice softer, smoother, easier-to-detangle hair from the very first wash. With consistent use over 4–8 weeks, most people see less breakage, fewer split ends and healthier-looking lengths.

Can I use this alongside other hair products?
Yes. It fits easily into any wash-day routine. Simply apply before shampooing, then follow with your usual cleanser and conditioner. If your hair feels coated afterwards, double cleanse to remove any excess.

Is this product vegan and cruelty-free?
Yes. Every ingredient is plant-derived, and theOleum& is committed to ethical sourcing. We never test on animals.

Are your ingredients organic or sustainably sourced? We prioritise high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients wherever possible. Many of our oils are cold-pressed and derived from organic or wild-harvested botanicals to preserve their potency and purity.

Is this product free from silicones, parabens, and sulfates? Yes. Oleum’s products are completely free from silicones, parabens, sulfates, and synthetic fillers. We believe in clean, effective formulations that support long-term hair and scalp health.

Is it safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding? While our formula is made with natural ingredients, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before use during pregnancy or breastfeeding—especially due to the presence of essential oils.

Does it contain essential oils that may cause sensitivity? No our formula for the retention butter does not, but we always recommend patch testing before full use—especially for sensitive scalps.

Is this product fragrance-free or naturally scented? Oleum is naturally scented from its botanical ingredients We don’t use synthetic fragrances, so the scent reflects the purity of the formula— warm vanilla.

Is Oleum cruelty-free and vegan? Yes. Oleum is proudly cruelty-free and vegan. We never test on animals, and all ingredients are plant-based and ethically sourced.

Do you use recyclable packaging? We use recyclable plastic bottles, reusable glass containers/tin and minimal packaging to reduce waste. Our labels and shipping materials are also chosen with sustainability in mind.
